- decide to sell
- hire a REALTOR® you can trust
- determine what you need from the sale and if you need to buy another home
- agree on an educated asking price for your property
- marketing plan is executed in order to attract a reasonable and acceptable offer
- agree on the terms of sale
- meet all required conditions for the sale (financing, inspection, etc.)
- schedule disconnection of utilities
- pack and prepare for your move
- change mailing address and have Canada Post forward old mail to the new address
- meet with your lawyer in the days prior to closing to review and sign any remaining paperwork
- move everything out of your property and have it clean for the buyers pre-closing inspection
- pass remaining keys to your REALTOR® or lawyer
- make your move on closing day
